Safety summary
- Ignis is not a medical device and has no medical device certification.
- Ignis does not provide medical advice; measurements must not be used for diagnosis, treatment, or emergency decisions.
- Heart rate, HRV, SpO₂, blood pressure, respiratory rate, stress and emotion values are algorithm estimates, for wellness reference only.
- For emergency symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, or fainting, call your local emergency number immediately (e.g., 911 in the US, 120 in China) or go to a hospital.
- Consult a qualified physician for any health decision.
1. Nature of the measurements
- Ignis estimates physiological metrics from camera video using rPPG (remote photoplethysmography); the values are estimates, not direct measurements.
- Results vary with lighting, motion, camera quality, skin tone, facial occlusion, and makeup; individual differences are significant.
- Internal comparison-test error data (heart rate ±1–2 BPM at N = 348; blood pressure ±8 mmHg, SpO₂ ±2–4% and respiratory rate ±5–6% without a disclosed comparable sample size) is self-reported by the company and not third-party certified; see Technology Overview · Accuracy and Error.
- Blood pressure and SpO₂ estimates are not a substitute for blood pressure monitors, pulse oximeters, or other professional medical devices.
2. Not intended for
Ignis is not intended for, and must not be used as a basis for:
- Disease diagnosis, screening, treatment, or medication decisions;
- Emergency or urgent medical judgment;
- Medical, insurance, legal, or other legally binding evidence;
- Replacing the judgment of physicians, nurses, or other qualified medical professionals.
3. When to seek medical care
Seek professional medical help immediately (in China, call 120; in the US, call 911) if you experience:
- Chest pain, chest tightness, or persistent palpitations;
- Difficulty breathing, severe dizziness, fainting, or altered consciousness;
- Persistently abnormal SpO₂, blood pressure, or other metrics, especially with discomfort;
- Any symptom that worries you — regardless of what the device shows.
Remember: a device reading does not override how your body actually feels.
4. Data and privacy
- The camera is activated only when you explicitly start a measurement; measurement frames are transmitted over an encrypted connection to the analysis service to compute metrics in real time.
- Measurement history is stored locally on the user's client device by default; the web client separates it by account, while the Android app uses device-local storage; it is used for historical trends and can be cleared in Settings.
- Complete data processing rules are described in the Privacy Policy; for data-related questions, contact wuac@yanshutech.com.
